Bible Studies
The Catholic Newman Center offers bibles studies during both the Fall and Spring semester. More than one Bible Study is offered and each with a topic for the semester. These studies range from six to eight weeks and are usually thirty minutes to an hour. Each study is facilitated by a trained Lay person, and we offer training for anyone who might want to facilitate their own Bible Study.
In Spring 2011, the topics were 8 Frequently Asked Questions about Catholicism, Spontaneous Praise, The Story of Song, The Book of James, and The Lazy Catholics’ Gospel Guide
Last semester we did the Gospel of St. John, Hey Jude, and Paul to the Romans, and each one was a success and fun learning experience for all.
This coming semester will be four more Bible Studies including Drugs, Sex, and Rock n’ Roll, the other three are TBA.
